The DID archetype

Description

I can´t express how mad I am that I couldn´t play Dragon´s Lair in the arcades. I feel like one of the most amazing experiences was stolen from my teenage years. My guess is that it was never distributed on Mexico. I saw tv shows ("that´s incredible!" show) where they played the game from start to finish. I searched endlessly for a dvd version to live the experience but couldn´t even find that...
Until recently I got my hands on the psp version. Finally I played it. A lot of the novelty factor was lost after craving for it for such a long time, but nevertheless, it was worth it.

I don´t think there is a better example of a DID in any other media. It was love at first sight. Only thing that bothered me is that she wasn´t tied up (ok, she was trapped inside a zero G magical cristal bubble, half naked, perky nips, but still, no ropes...) so I had to do something about it. After thinking about it for a long time, I thought about ... A Leather Harness!! A monoglove!!! After I started, I ditched the idea for something simpler. Just ropes and a gag.
I wanted to keep Daphne´s playful and seductive attitude that was so alluring on the original game. She was not the bossy "hurry up and save me you moron!" type, she was more like "Here I am big boy, If you save me I´ll show you pleasures beyond your wildest dreams..." and she was enjoying the whole show.
Aaaaand there is the hair issue.
Mr Bluth, if you ever get to read this, you must know that I respect and admire you like a hero, (I wanted to become an animator since I can remember) but the hairstyles in your female characters are sometimes... weird, to say the less (Thumbelina!) and they change from one scene to the next. I really hope I have at least got close to your character original design.

I still have a colored pencil version of the game cover I did in highschool, where Dirk is in front row and the villians are distributed around him in the background. I remember I almost scratched the paper because I erased Daphne´s face so many times (couldn´t get her right). I might scan it later and post it just to show you.
